A 3-storey 9-classroom school building will soon to rise at North Central Elementary School at Brgy. Bonuan Gueset, one of the many projects under the Supplement Budget No.2.
Barangay Captain Noel Bumanglag and Dr. Agape Nabua, Principal IV of NCES personally thanked Mayor Belen T. Fernandez for the project during her onsite inspection today, November 14, after the SP New Majority approved the budget.
Doctor Nabua shared that the number of enrollees are increasing, which the brand new school building is expected to accommodate the rising number of students.
“Kailangang kailangan ng aming paaralan ang bagong classroom kasi po tumataas ang enrollment, tsaka yung mga existing buildings po dito na 1-storey lang po ay kailangan na ng replacement po talaga,” Doctor Nabua said.
According to Barangay Captain Bumanglad, it will also serve as an evacuation center during times of calamity since the said barangay is part of the coastal area of the city.
Alongside with this almost 3 year-delayed project, during the first term of the local chief executive, she funded for the construction of NCES gymnasium, which was formally inaugurated last March 24, 2015, and a 3-storey building.
